A number of applications like high precision ranging and imaging, LIDAR, micro-materials processing, UV spectroscopy in chemistry and biochemistry will benefit from energetic (300-500uJ) high beam quality sub-nanosecond (~200ps) laser pulses. To address the needs of these applications the new MOPA microlasers from STANDA utilize Master Oscillator Power Amplifier platform that combines company's renowned STA-01 microlaser oscillators together with a highly efficient amplifying stage developed recently. Due to the MOPA configuration the unique spatial and temporal characteristics of the microlasers are preserved while their output power is raised to the multiwatt level. All Master Oscillators as well as Power Amplifiers are produced at Standa facilities.
We value user working space and always try to fit into the tightest environment of a laboratory set up, measuring device or other equipment. The MOPA series continues the traditions of STA-01 microlasers: being the smallest passively Q-switched DPSS laser on the market without compromise to optical performance. Fiber-coupled pump diodes are housed inside the electronic controller greatly reducing heat load and footprint of the laser head. Pump radiation is delivered via 2m long metal-shielded fiber optic cables enabling convenient integration of the laser system into the user equipment. Due to the high pump and output powers the optimized air cooling or water cooling of laser head is required.
Without compromising their compactness and beam quality the STA-01-MOPA-TH STA‑01‑MOPA series lasers can be equipped with second and third harmonic generation crystals for nonlinear frequency conversion. STANDA can offer green and UV lasers with 532 and 355 nm wavelengths accordingly.
